NEBOSH PSM

The NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Process Safety Management (PSM) is a specialized certificate designed in collaboration with the UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to address major accident hazards associated with hazardous chemical processes. Unlike general safety courses, this certification zeroes in on process risks like loss of containment, uncontrolled reactions, and explosions. When working in high-risk industries like oil and gas, chemicals, or pharmaceuticals, even a minor lapse in process safety can have catastrophic consequences.

The qualification includes four core elements that reflect international best practices in process safety management. NEBOSH PSM certificate holders may be responsible for developing and implementing process safety management systems, conducting hazard analyses, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. A prior NEBOSH General Certificate is recommended but not mandatory. You should have a foundational understanding of occupational health and safety concepts to succeed in this course.
